THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEEDING SOMETHING AND WANTING SOMETHING

SOMEONE HAS RECENTLY ASKED ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEEDING something AND WANTING something……….

SO HERE IT GOES;

Want is a desire or wish to have something. Want and would like are similar in meaning but would like is more polite. Wanting is not having enough of something or lacking something.
If you need something it does’nt matter whether you want it or not but you must have it. Need of something refers to the unavoidable nessecity.

I want many thing in life but even if I don’t get them I will continue in my effort to get them and a failure to get them will bring disappointment to me, but if I need something in life and don’t get it I will behave in an extreme impatient manner to get it and failure to get it will bring pain and agony to me, which will stay untill I get it.

Such is the power of “need” as compared to “want”. That is why the word “basic” is used with need and not with want.

So the next time I ever say to you that I NEED YOU, it is definitely not the same as when I say I WANT YOU. Always consider it seriously when anyone like me expresses the need of having you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“The roots of education are bitter but the fruits are sweet”

WILL INTRODUCTION OF SEX EDUCATION IN COURSE CURRICULAM BE A FRUITFUL STEP OR NOT”

The roots of sex education seems bitter, but the fruit will be very sweet”

Schooling must never be compared with a broader term called “education”, which in itself includes a complete knowledge of one’s mental, physical and emotional aspects.

What sculpture is to a piece of marbel, education is to the soul”. The basic underlying objective of sex education in course curriculam is to provide information to the young students about dangerous sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS, and to provide them a feedback in respect to their physical and mental growth related querries, which otherwise remains unanswered and are satisfied by untrustworthy sources such as the internet. Nobody can deny the fact that a 12 year old kid of today has got 100 times more reach than what I had when I was 12, 5 years ago and a 10,000 times more reach than what my father had when he was 12, 30 years ago. Unfortunately the growth of technology and media which was assumed to be the greatest asset of my generation has done much more damage to the society than any other sector, equvalent to it. Apart from the faboulous advantages of the greater connectivity and better communication, we cannot just close our eyes from the discrepencies of the internet or the booming media. ”courage consists not in blindly overlooking danger, but seeing it, and conquering it”.

Introduction of sex education will help us to face social challenges with proper information before it is too late. “Every change in education has for its objective the formation of character”. There is an apt saying that “it is better to wear out, than to rust out” and “better be safe than sorry”. We all know that literacy rate in India is not very high and even the most educated class of the society is not open enough to battle this problem, I ask why?

Sex education being introduced in education system is being looked upon as an act of indecency and immorality by the moral and social police. It is very unfortunate that highly educated people also say that “I will answer my child’s querry if he will come to me, but there is no need of exposure in school”. I would like to congratulate that mr. for being broad enough, but I must surely ask him “do you think sir, that every home in India is so open enough to discuss these evils?”, if yes then why the hell is that cases of HIV viruses increasing every year? “Real education must simply not be limited to one who insists on knowing, the rest must not be left as sheep herding”. “What is moral is what you feel good after, and what is immoral is what you feel bad after. We have two kinds of morality side by side: one which we preach but donot practice and the other which we practice but seldom preach”. Education in totality is the soul of society which passes from one generation to another. The people who support the cause of implementing sex education are well aware of the problems that indecency and immorality can cost to our society, which is what makes this task of utmost importance. Think about this in a broader perspective and very soon you will realize that “reality is always ahead of theory”

Sex education will deal with topics of nessecary precautions of teenage in an elementary informative way and not as an insane gossip. I must tell you that the increase in sex scandals, rape cases and more STD diseases, clearly singnifies that the youth of today is living on dangerous grounds and is getting feeding from many unaware sources. To stop the growth of such unscruplous sources is now clearly out of our hand, but what is in our hand is the concept of being educated about sex in a standardized and virtuous way.”There is nothing permanent except change, we must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves before we harden. Change is not made without inconvenience, even from worse to better”. What’s done to the children they will do to the society. It is better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong. Virtue consists, not in abstaining from vice, but in not desiring it. Youth is quick in feeling but slow in judgement and it takes all sorts of people to make a world

The follies that a man regrets most in life are those which he did not commit when he had the opportunity. If you will not ask any question, you will not hear any truth”

Foundation of every state is the education of youth. Chracter is a perfectly educated will”
